Financial Management

Friday, July 11th, 2008

Every company should keep a record of their budgeting software so they would know and analyze if there are earning or deficit. And in case, need to do some financial evaluation and to some action and auditing at once. Everyone should be conscious about their financial standing otherwise their business will collapse. This also depend on the person who is taking care of the account. The person should be a conceptual thinker and knows how to handle things accordingly.

OH MY GOD!

Monday, May 5th, 2008

Gosh, gasoline rate now in the Philippines is Php50.00 to a liter equivalent to US$1.20.
And real soon expect more to come said the news. Gasoline Company can’t do anything about it because they too can not control the world market. Because of this terrible increase for sure all commodities will come to raise its prices, the usual, its a chain reaction. So as with Meralco, Mawasa, hospital bills, tuition fees, transportation cost and a like. Well, no one can be blame. Who the government? Life is really getting tough day by day! Well I guess not only in Pinas, it’s an all over the world scenario. Let’s just hope and pray that this crisis will come to an end. I just wished that with or without these life’s challenges and battle we can still find time to look up on the heavens above to give thanks to our almighty creator that inspite of many life’s difficulties we are still bless to have our everyday’s victory with the Lord! And let us learn to convert those trial into blessings… And turn our life upside down to Jesus!

As the bible says….COUNT YOUR BLESSINGS DAY BY DAY AND ALL YOUR CARES WILL FLEW AWAY! Amen! Everyday I am victorious in Jesus name…

Let’s Give, Help, Care and Share.

Wednesday, April 16th, 2008

Most teenagers and sometimes adults too now a day are in trouble finding one self and inner peace. They felt that no one cares for them even their family.  They feel useless, hopeless and frustrated. Their only source of forgetting all the heaviness and insecurities they are encountering, feeling lost, they engage themselves into a prohibited drug which eventually ruins their life and career.  Their addiction to drugs becomes their life source of happiness.

There is still life to a drug dependent person.  Whether they are our love ones, friend or a person that we don’t even know we need to help them in such a way that we can lead them to a correct path. What we can do to is to give them a piece of advice, guide and let them realize that life is beautiful. There are a lot of wonderful things to be busy with.  That he/she can get assistance, help and enrol into a drug rehabilitation program which they can be teach and learn to accept reality in life, make difference in their way of thinking, become productive and become a better person that they use to be.  Isn’t that rewarding too that we make a big difference into other’s life?   And it’s a great challenge and indulgence too.

EDSA now! – Bishop Soc. Villegas

Tuesday, February 26th, 2008

Bishop Soc Villegas was the secretary of +Cardinal Sin when EDSA 1 happened. He was rector of the EDSA Shrine from 1989 to 2004. Last February 24, 2008 his reflection on the current situation in the country was finally heard.
Reaqd on…

EDSA NOW!

The story of EDSA 1986 is the greatest gift that the Philippines gave to the family of nations. The song says “handog ng Pilipino sa mundo”. EDSA 1986 showed us the glory and greatness of being Filipino. EDSA as the greatest event of the last century was our solution to the worst scourge of the last century and even until now—corrupt, immoral and dirty governance. The antithesis of EDSA is corruption.

The heaviest cross weighing heavily on the shoulders of the Filipinos now is corruption in public life. This corruption has reached scandalous depths and mind boggling figures. Government corruption had deprived the poor in the countryside of basic health and education services. The corruption of citizenry who get prostituted at elections and the preference to bribe rather than to go through inconveniences in processing government papers may be low scale yet equally immoral.

Worse than the scourge of graft and corruption is the blatant and consistent effort to cover up and hide the liberating truth. In the present situation where we are in, the watching public believe that the accuser and accused are both guilty of graft and corruption in anyway. The advocates of truth become the little devils of greed when they take office. In such a culture, the poor are pitiful bystanders who hear the unspoken lustful dream of the accusers: Tama na! Palitan na! Kami naman!

The worst among the scourges that our nation suffers from right now is the culture of indifference. Many of us want to resign as Filipinos! The peso is at its highest in recent years but we have reached our lowest level of hope and highest level of frustration. We do not care anymore. Our people have grown tired of rallies to change public officials because the changes have simply been from one corrupt official to another. Those “revolutions” did not improve our lives, did they? They were just like shots of opium that gave us a temporary high and nothing more.

They say “Why make noise when the economy is doing well?” Can you hear the Lord say “What does it profit a man if he gains the whole world but suffers the loss of his soul”? There is something more important than money. It is our national moral fiber slowly eroding and becoming desensitized to evil and sin. It is not enough to moderate greed. It must be eradicated. Its eradication must begin in each one’s heart.

The President must change or be changed; so with the senators and congressmen. But it is not enough to change the officials we elected in Malacanang and Congress. We must also seek reform in the commission that handles the elections. It is also not enough to change officials in government. The change must being with each and everyone’s heart. Each and everyone must be reformed Filipino that we want our public officials to become. We must change ourselves so that society and government will change. We must not demand repentance and reform from our leaders if we are not even willing to repent of our personal sins as dishonest and uncaring ordinary citizens.

Let us all resign from corruption, from indifference, from lies, from arrogant use of power. Corruption is not a crime of the government. It has become our national livelihood. It is not only those on top who are guilty. We who are below are all guilty as well!

The story of EDSA 1986 is not just the story of a fleeing dictator due to the power of the people. EDSA aroused the goodness in us. It is our hearts on fire for God and country. The EDSA spirit is not just about political change. It is primarily about a change of heart and soul! Let us not invoke the EDSA spirit for political change if we are not even open to moral and spiritual reform individually. The change we seek must come from within.

EDSA must now move from the street to the heart.

Human Smuggling (this alarming news is not only for my fellow Ibaenos but for all of us)

Sunday, February 24th, 2008

Hi folks,

Just got home earlier with my husband and son from a meeting with my fellow Ibaenos (people from Ibaan, Batangas) at Tita Rosie Reyes’ house in West Covina, CA to discuss about the plan for the fiesta in July and other projects/programs. It is actually my first attendance since I am just new here in LA, almost a year and a half. Thanks to Warly Guerra for giving the org my contact and also to Tita Nedy Mercado who contacted me. Just FYI, the Ibaenos have an organization here in US/ Canada (Ibaan community) and then as an org they think of ways to raise funds to support fellow kababayans in Ibaan. They have been doing that for years and I am so proud of them.
As we were still waiting for the others to come for the said meeting, Tita Linda Perez showed me a copy of the write up which was exactly what was published on a broadsheet and that was about this issue my fellow UB members were talking about and I would like to say sorry for being so passive about this. I don’t want to make an excuse not reading the content of the e-mail for a lot of times but I was just seeing your subject that went “Child Snatcher” which I misinterpreted as “a snatcher who happens to be a child”. I thought it was one of those modus operandis roaming around metro Manila. Please forgive me for that. I should have read it at once.
So going back, Tita Linda told me that there is this alarming news that is not totally a hearsay coz that child “Patricia Patena” is her niece’ or nephew’s daughter. (Sorry coz she just said pamangkin so I didn’t know if it’s her niece or nephew). Anyway…yes, this child was playing wiht another little girl named “Fatima Bosita” and both of them never went back home since Feb. 19 and so it was suspected to be a kidnap. But this kidnapping issue is not the common kidnapping that we know like kidnap for ransom. Like what was told in the news, they aren’t rich kids but they were kidnapped. There were investigators but couldn’t get the lead yet. Although there were some suspicions too that it could be one of those “human smuggling” case and the victims are not just kids but adults as well. According to what I was told of, there were about 30 reporters in San Pablo City who were missing and when some were found, their bellies were already opened and their organs were taken
out. Some also of the missing kids were returned and found but had been left of one eye and a money was placed on the body as payment. Very inhumane…
We may not get an outright solution to this I know coz this kind of thing is something serious. We never know who the hell is behind all of this, could be a big time International syndicate or we don’t know…
Let’s not just sit and allow other people to warn others to take care of themselves or their loved ones. All of us whether you feel affected or not should try to spread this warning/ news to all people you know. Let’s be very cautious of the people we deal with especially teach our little ones to stay away from strangers. Keep your cellphones with you so that if anything happens, it might help in some ways. And ofcourse, lots of prayers. Let’s not get ourselves too busy doing something else when we have to be cautious of this thing also. Sometimes we forget that we have to face the fact that no place is safe now for all of us. Anywhere we go, there are bad people around us. It is not actually “people who are bad” but the evil spirits using the human bodies to topple God’s kingdom. In this way they can try to ruin us but in times like these, we need to armor ourselves with more caution and ofcourse PRAYER. Who are they to scare us? If we keep our faith in HIM, we will
always be protected. Let’s teach our little ones to call their Master Up Above all the time and HE will not forsake them. God loves us all and to stay under HIS care is to be with HIM all the time.
God bless us all.
